Good morning everyone,
Over the weekend, we experienced a technical issue that prevented users from logging into the AgingCare site. The issue was fixed, but some users did not regain access immediately. Our development team did a sweep for affected users yesterday and restored their access.
If you were having issues logging in, a simple password reset will get you back into your account.
Some profile pages were showing 404 errors as part of this issue. These profile pages have been restored.
If you have further issues with seeing your profile page or logging into your account, please use the “Send Us a Message” form on this page to let us know: agingcare.com/aboutus
Updates on other fixes:
Our automatic spam blocker has been extra sensitive as of late and some users have been incorrectly blocked from posting. A fix for this is being coded and should be ready in approximately 2 weeks (allow a few extra days for testing and troubleshooting). If you feel you’ve been blocked in error, please use the “Send Us a Message” form on this page to let us know: agingcare.com/aboutus.
Message deletion is down on profile pages. A fix for this will be coded after the work on the spam blocker.
Additionally, our roadmap for the future includes building a messaging "block" feature, to stop messages from people you don't want to hear from.
In the meantime, you can hide the public messages other users have left on your wall by going to agingcare.com/profile/privacy and turning off “Show Public Messages” in your privacy settings.
We appreciate your patience, and the support you show one another on AgingCare.

Close your computer and go outside....
I am still unable to answer an question with 0 answers, so that's still an issue. I don't think AC is reading this thread anymore as there's been no response over a week to this. Alas.
IS ANYONE READING THIS IN ADMINISTRATION/ IT'S OVER A WEEK THAT MANY OF US ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS WITH 0-RESPONSES.
COULD OTHERS PLEASE REPORT MY COMMENT HERE TO GET ADMINS TO RESPOND IN SOME WAY TO US?
If you really want a response contact AgingCare directly through the Contact Us link, or try contacting the mods at
https://www.agingcare.com/members/agingcarecm
Sad to see at least six questions with no responses now sinking to page two not because no one wants to respond but because no one CAN respond.
As to the "contact us" link......I have tried that several times about several issues and never heard a thing back.
Today I started reporting our links about this issue, as reporting does seem to get things at least looked at.
Meanwhile, good luck to anyone with any question for us, hee hee.
It's come to our attention that an issue has been identified where links to questions posted to the forum are not working. We have not yet identified the cause of the issue, but are working to resolve it.
Thank you for your patience as we look into this issue. We will keep the forum informed as we can here in this discussion.
Thank you,
AgingCare Team
The AgingCare team will continue to update here as we have more information. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this technical issue.

AgingCare Team

Is our data protected? This site doesn't inspire confidence right now.
The AgingCare team is aware of the recent increase in spam posts. The moderators are doing their best to keep the forum running smoothly while the tech team investigates this issue and works to improve our spam filters. Thank you for your patience, for reporting suspicious posts, and for helping keep this community safe and supportive.
Recently we were sent a questionnaire by APFM asking if it would make a difference to us if the Forum was named A Place For Mom.
Don't know about for us, but would for the trust of the public at large, and I think would spell doom for what has been such a great source for information.
I don't at all resent APFM advertising and using the Forum, and I think they don't weigh in overmuch for themselves. BUT if it becomes merely an arm of a for profit business it will lose the trust of many, I fear, no matter we try to answer questions.
If need be hire someone to get this straightened out.
I too hope that the site can be saved, but looks like this is pretty serious.
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback about how the forum is being managed. We’ve heard from some community members that there may be concerns, and we want you to know that we’re listening closely and taking your input seriously.
We’re working swiftly and proactively to eliminate spam and exploring ways to improve moderation so the forum remains a safe, welcoming space for all. Our goal has always been to maintain the AgingCare forum as a supportive, respectful, and unbiased place where caregivers can connect and find real community — and we remain committed to that goal.
Thank you to those who participated in the recent survey. Your responses are helping us understand what’s working and where we need to improve. We truly appreciate your continued engagement.
I love the Forum, and have for years, but would love to know there is someone reading daily the new questions. There aren't all that many, and it would so clear the decks of some things that are clearly just junk. When the silly stuff is just too silly it makes the regulars believe there's no shepherd on this flock.
As to that survey?
Please don't change the name to A Place for Mom.
People everywhere are familiar with APFM. And we often mention it when recommending it to others. We usually say why we recommend it, when we don't, and why. I think APFM already does benefit from those times we recommend such a service. But I think that the public in general, having a Forum NAMED APFM, would be more suspicious of any advice, thinking that all replying to their questions were merely shills for the service. I think it would make the public in general LESS likely to reach out to you or to respect our advice, not MORE likely. But that's just me...................
I hope AC continues to thrive; I hope there's more oversight in general. Again, thanks.
