Good morning everyone,
Over the weekend, we experienced a technical issue that prevented users from logging into the AgingCare site. The issue was fixed, but some users did not regain access immediately. Our development team did a sweep for affected users yesterday and restored their access.
If you were having issues logging in, a simple password reset will get you back into your account.
Some profile pages were showing 404 errors as part of this issue. These profile pages have been restored.
If you have further issues with seeing your profile page or logging into your account, please use the “Send Us a Message” form on this page to let us know: agingcare.com/aboutus
Updates on other fixes:
Our automatic spam blocker has been extra sensitive as of late and some users have been incorrectly blocked from posting. A fix for this is being coded and should be ready in approximately 2 weeks (allow a few extra days for testing and troubleshooting). If you feel you’ve been blocked in error, please use the “Send Us a Message” form on this page to let us know: agingcare.com/aboutus.
Message deletion is down on profile pages. A fix for this will be coded after the work on the spam blocker.
Additionally, our roadmap for the future includes building a messaging "block" feature, to stop messages from people you don't want to hear from.
In the meantime, you can hide the public messages other users have left on your wall by going to agingcare.com/profile/privacy and turning off “Show Public Messages” in your privacy settings.
We appreciate your patience, and the support you show one another on AgingCare.

Thanks for fixing the avatars!
We appreciate it!
I have tried to delete it because I keep accidentally clicking on it.
Even if it goes away temporarily, it continually pops back up, so I have learned to ignore it! LOL 😆
The same thing happens when I try to relocate it to another section of my screen. He keeps returning back to where he was before.
I left the forum in frustration, returning right now to see that it is once again fixed, and no, I did nothing to clear my cache or delete cookies.....I have a feeling this is going to be a "work in progress"....
Some users have had issues when requesting a password reset link, we've not been able to reproduce this bug on demand. If you do experience it, please send an email to us from the agingcare.com/aboutus page. That timestamp will help us track down what was going on when the issue occurred.
As a reminder, you can hide the "blue man" icon from your screen by clicking it, clicking "move/hide widget", scrolling down some more and selecting "indefinitely" and then clicking the "hide widget" button.
IMPORTANT: if you clear cache/delete cookies/use an incognito browser or a new device to view the site, you'll need to make these selections again to hide the widget.
The widget is required to meet the needs of our users with disabilities. We cannot just get rid of it across the board, each user must elect to hide it and save their preference.
Have a good week, everyone.
I am using an apple iPhone.
I see:
suddenly today AC fixed the Questions: edit is back, as well as names/avatars/dates.
Im thankful for your hard work trying to resolve issues but sure wish that 'blue guy' problem was fixed. I accidentally tap on it no matter where he is. Lol
Hey, I see they’ve changed the font again today. Too bad. It always feels weird with a new font.
It's a fine place to have a discussion about issues you've encountered, just don't expect you can use it as some kind of bulletin board and that AC is getting the messages.
I know AC says that, but the reality is, often they don’t reply.
I think (additionally to messaging), posting here is a good idea. (1) They’ll see it. (2) Forum members will also see it, and can see that other members experience the same problems/glitches.

"Finally, the best place to submit technical issues is on the /aboutus page, using the "Send Us a Message" form, the Tech Team is not reading the forum, our role is to keep things working on the back end, so sending a message via the form is the way to bring things to our attention."

"The Tech team prefers the "send us a message" approach to reporting problems with the site, as threads naturally turn into conversations between members and information gets buried. There can also be the expectation that problems will be solved instantly because they are being heavily discussed or people are upset. While some fixes are quick, others take time, testing, and re-testing, before they are ready to go live. We appreciate the time to truly work through issues and build long-lasting solutions."
