BOJ, I know , I feel like administration should at least tell us what's going on, or let them at least tell us and say goodbye if they are not ever coming back. I feel that it's wrong, to just leave us hanging

Another topic. I am thinking about getting a new washer and dryer. They have to be stackable front loaders to fit here. I was told recently that the new washers with the energy and water regs don't wash as well as the old ones which use more energy and water. About 14 years ago I got a new front loader HE washer and dryer and they worked OK.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Golden, I'm glad hubs is feeling better, live and learn, though our ever changing environment.

Glad you are having good weather. You are going to be totally shocked , we had rain 🌧️ 🌧️ 🌧️ today. 😂 30 percent chance turned into all day rain. We did have 48 hours without rain, just started to dry up a little last night.

Hubs getting sick I wouldn't stress so much, but getting sick in another country, I just couldn't handle that!

(((((Daisy))))) actually makes sense to me. Aa we get older it takes longer to get over things, and takes more of our available energy to deal with things. I get that you worry about your husband's health and am sure your son will understand too and appreciate your gift.

R is healing quite well, even without his meds for a few days. it's not a photosensitivity as he apparently hasn't been taking any supplements for a while. He has a few tender spots but over all he looks much better, the itching has stopped and the swelling is down. I guess we have some ideas for when the air quality gets bad again which it probably will. Thankful for some rain and humidity, and today a lovely bright sunny day with temps around 21C (70F).

Kinda sad, but I feel good about it, I made the decision, we are not going to Ireland, for my sons wedding. It's just to much stress, after all the stress we have had the last few months. Honestly I don't wanna leave the country, or go on such a long plane ride, I'm also very worried hubs will get sick , in another country.

Will give my son a nice generous sum of money.

cw - Thank you. That did cross my mind, He's not on any prescription meds at present but takes a few supplements/vitamins. It's definitely worth checking them for photosensitivity. This has happened before in Fort Mc. When the pollution at a certain plant was bad he got a reaction when he went there but this time it is so much worse. He doesn't take his supplements regularly so I'll check and see what he has been taking. Apparently Vit B6 could do it.

Golden - your mention of R's meds gave me a thought; what with all his recent health issues it wouldn't hurt to review any different medications he is on for photo sensitivity, I know that can be a side effect that is often overlooked.

Golden oh I here you there!! At least he is trying and not getting worse

We got some pretty decent weather today, been about 24 hours since we last saw rain, it's drying up a bit. Got a good walk in, doing some lawn work.

We have a friend just like your husband and mine. He is constantly complaining about his aches and pains, went to doc, told the doctors it's gout. Doc gave him steroids. So me and my husband call him everyday to tell him to get tested for tick illness, and see how he is feeling. He finally SAYS, he will get tested tomorrow. Will see, he digs ponds and septics for a living. So gosh darn stubborn, he says a rattle snake can bit him and the rattler goes and dies!! Lol. Sometimes you just can't fix stupid. 😂

Anyways my other friend who had a brother in hospital, I never heard the out come. Friendship issues, 😂 , way to much drama in her life for me.

Distraction helps -and also not keeping unhealthy foods in the house. It's hard to overdo it on salad. I get keto brownies. They are tiny and rich and frozen so you have to stop and nuke it. One goes a long way. The highly available junk foods are too easy to overeat.

Daisy - Thanks for asking. it is not clearing up fast but it is healing. The backs of his hands were still swollen a couple of days ago.Thankfully the air quality is good these days. He realizes he needs to wear gloves and a brimmed hat outside. I told him he would look good in a Crocodile Dundee hat lol. He forgot his meds here the other day and has been out at the farm since which won't help but he has baking soda out there which will. I know he is busy. What can you do???

I have found myself kind of stress eating at times too (like tonight). But I found going outside helps a lot to lower stress. I also found a good true crime podcast, which is a nice distraction. About to tune in now instead of opening a box of biscuits,

i think stress is sometimes caused by the lack of fun & exciting things going on in one’s life.

too much negative stuff, not enough positive stuff.

the balance needs to be tipped. and then, you won’t stress-eat because you won’t even have time for that.

i hope you can find fun & exciting things! and i hope, they can find you!

Random thought.

I really hate when people refer to their parents as caregivers. It’s so wrong on so many levels. It’s insulting and so unappreciative of parents.

I live on the edge of suburbia and rural with some preserved farm land nearby . I am proud to say I can tell the difference between , cow, pig, and chicken manure !!

Where I grew up, on an island, the farmers used fish for fertilizer .

Lucky
That happened to a 16 yr old in my family. Two girls, one car accident, coming home from a school event. Both died. Heartbreaking.

I wonder how difficult it would be for you to convert your car to hand controls? Might give you a few more years to drive.

Could you feel the pedal if you were barefoot? That’s one of the problems with the thick soles that are popular now. We need to do foot exercises, go barefoot, etc to retain the feeling in our feet which is vital for stability of the body.

Watch this on YouTube. Might give you some ideas.

I was thinking the other day that you can tell you're in the country when there's a whiff of manure in the air, and you know you're still a county woman at heart when you can tell what animal it's from 🤣

Golden,
It's amazing that the Granddaughter survived alright.
My niece was 14 and shouldn't have been driving, and she hit a tree and she and the other 14 year old that was with her ,both died.
and
I probably shouldn't be driving any more, myself because I don't feel my foot on the gas and Iv'e come so close to hitting the car in front of me and a few other things I do wrong with my driving but
If my dh or a friend will drive ,I feel safer and I know that the people around me are safer.
