ITRR, I have been taking C along with zinc, D and several other supplements since covid broke out in 2020 and haven't had it or any other illness since. Plus, my immune system is SO RAMPED up from the immunotherapy I'd be surprised if I caught anything at this point 😂🤣

Lea, I, highly, recommend that you find out if both of you can take zinc 50 mg and 10,000 mg of Vitamin C daily for a week.

I don't know if you believe supplements help or not but, this really works amazingly well for colds or other types of viruses that act like colds.

The vitamin C will flush your system and it is a good thing that helps your body flush out the bugs.

I hope Chuck feels better soon and you don't share.

Lea, so sorry Chuck is ill. Hopefully he will bounce back with some rest and proper meds.
I think most of us have denial of health issues when we are feeling well.
So I suppose good that he felt up to it and sorry he didn’t get away with it.
Life is a fine balance.
Hugs to you both.

So Chuck put up his tents at the Scottish festival Thurs thru Sunday last week ( in spite of me asking him not to for fear of him getting sick) and came home quite sick with a nasty cold and cough. Sigh. Being immuno-compromised and on anti rejection drugs for his liver transplant, we're not sure which cold meds he can or cannot take. He has a call into the Mayo Clinic and is waiting for a call back. Then I can place an order at Wal Mart for delivery. He has no fever and the covid test is negative. I'm also steering clear of him bc the last thing I need is a bad cold on top of all the rest of my issues.

LL, glad you were able to enjoy a nice anniversary steak dinner w/Chuck despite the sucky dizziness and pain. Enjoy your day of peace and quiet! (((hug)))

Lea,

Sorry that you had a bad day yesterday and couldn’t go out. The steaks sound like a delicious alternative!

Estes Park is beautiful! Sounds like a fun time for Chuck and a quiet day for you and Honey.

What’s the latest news on the wedding? Is your daughter excited or a bundle of nerves, or a combination?

Weddings are beautiful but the planning can become a bit stressful.

So we didn't go to lunch yesterday because I was feeling terrible....dizzy and pain in my right side. Chuck made rib eyes on the grill last night so we had a great dinner and an all around lovely anniversary.

He'll be gone from morning till 8 or 9pm today thru Sun putting on a Scottish festival in Estes Park. I'm fine with that as my startle reflex is thru the roof lately for some reason. Being alone just Honey and I insures a quiet house since she's not a barker 😁

Personally I would stop the IVIG treatments if they aren't doing anything anyway. They are also not without side effects too.

Happy 14th anniversary I hope you and Chuck have a fantastic evening out.

Do you ever consider trying to sue the COVID vaccine makers for what they did to you?

We've had our teenage grandsons here since Sunday morning which has been challenging, at least for Chuck. They want to be entertained constantly bc they come from a very small town where nothing happens. Tonight they're going to an entertainment complex for dinner and fun where they'll be handed off to my stepson and his wife till they leave on Saturday. Hopefully United airlines will get their act together by then 🙄

I've been seriously dizzy the past couple days which is making me want to STOP these IVIGs for good. I want to try NOTHING moving forward and see how that works.

I hope you've all had a great Labor Day weekend. Tomorrow is our 14th wedding anniversary. The plan is to have lunch at a seafood restaurant. My first time in a restaurant since December. Fingers crossed.

Soooo glad to read that you are walking a bit more without your walker!

And, that’s positive news about being able to zap what’s showing up. 😀

I’ve also used your advice about what’s happening right in this moment! Even passed it on to my dad!

You’re a treasure!

Overwhelmed, I'm SO glad my tip helped you with the stressful mom situation yesterday! Thank God something helped you off the precipice bc you could've had a serious health crisis! It's horrible how mother's are able to push our buttons......I had one who pushed all the buttons she installed for 64.5 years.

Chucks 2 teenage grandsons were supposed to come over today to stay with us until Tuesday night. But when my insane stepdaughter heard they'd be with us a bit longer than her, she had one of the boys call Chuck this morning to tell him they're having SO MUCH FUN with Auntie, could he please pick them up tomorrow instead? God forbid someone get a tiny bit more of something, anything, than SHE gets. Oh no. Then all hell breaks loose. At 32 years old. I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet again once Chuck does something else to make her mad. It's only a matter of time.

I have another PET scan appointment for Oct 2nd. Once we see if the scan looks the same as the Aug one, Dr C said I'm likely a candidate for ablation or radiation of the lesions, which is good.

The IVIG on Thursday did nothing to improve my dizziness, as usual, and I'm still waiting to feel better. I want to pitch forward when I walk or stand up, which is bad. But I'm still mobile and walking around sans walker. Chuck helps me to the car now where before I couldn't walk on the driveway bc it's somewhat sloped. Progress in tiny bits 😁

Good morning Lea!

I have to share this with you and our forum friends. A while ago, you posted the following:

"In the meantime, what helps me thru times of acute stress and anxiety is to ask myself a question: "What is wrong at this very moment?" And unless your arm is hanging off by a thread, there never IS anything wrong at any given moment. You are either
projecting the future which is Anxiety, or dwelling on the past which is Depression. But at this very moment, nothing is wrong. Asking yourself that question may talk you down off the ledge as it does me. Helps you focus on the Now and the present moment instead of the past or the future."

Yesterday was a **it show with mom. I could feel my BP rising, chest hurting and hearing my pulse in my ears (I know, not good). Your wise words came to me, helped me calm down and focus on what was directly in front of me. Thank you! The things you write may not seem like much to you, but have helped me tremendously♥️

Sitting in the oncology center getting my IVIG infusion now. Met with Dr C and saw my PET scan which was ambiguous. It showed a couple of small bright spots on my liver which disappear as soon as the mouse moves over them. So we'll do another scan in 2 months instead of 3 which may be followed up by an MRI if anything is seen. PET scans are not as accurate as MRIs with contrast. So that's the plan. And again, not being a candidate for immunotherapy, my choice is clinical trials which I'm very leery of trying.
