ComForCare Home Care of Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens specializes in providing personalized non-medical home care. Non-medical care, sometimes referred to as “home care” or “personal care,” includes a wide range of elder care support and in-home assistance by a non-licensed provider. We provide the day-to-day care that your loved one may need instead of or in addition to care by a nurse or other health professional.
As people grow older, it becomes more difficult to maintain housework and other chores around the home. The time requirements and physical demands of home care can be tolling for seniors. In these cases, seeking professional help is an ideal way to ensure that home care is handled so that more focus can be placed on maintaining and improving senior health and wellbeing. ComForCare offers home care services to seniors in the following areas we serve in South Carolina: Anderson, Belton, Cateechee, Central, Clemson, Fair Play, Honea Path, Iva, Liberty, Norris, Pendleton, Pickens, Seneca, Six Mile, Starr, Sunset, Townville, Walhalla, Westminster, West Union, and Williamston.
We’re available 24/7/365 and employ a large staff of caregivers to guarantee uninterrupted service. We provide ongoing training and education for our caregivers so they are knowledgeable in all areas of home care. We know that as you age, it can be difficult doing those little tasks that were once simple—so our friendly, capable caregivers take away those worries.
At ComForCare/At Your Side Home Care, we understand the concerns that may arise from an aging parent’s desire for independence and their adult children’s concern for their safety. Sometimes, the key to achieving the desired level of safety is with home care. If you are concerned about the well-being of your aging loved one, it may be time to set up a family meeting to discuss future options.
The ComForCare Difference
ComForCare’s commitment to quality care begins with our compassionate and proactive approach to care. This process begins with identifying clients’ and families’ unique needs, creating a patient-centered care plan, coordinating with physicians and other providers, and implementing quality assurance throughout the duration of care. We have a rigorous 10-step screening process for our caregivers, nurse oversight of client care, and ongoing training and evaluation at every level.
What to Expect
We will take time to listen to your concerns. Once we have a better understanding of your needs, we'll share care options, provide further details, and schedule a home visit to conduct a needs evaluation.
Our highly-trained staff are ready to talk with you about your needs and answer your questions. Once we understand your situation, we’ll provide you with elder care options for your loved one, describe our services in detail, and schedule an in-home visit to conduct a thorough needs evaluation.
We give families the opportunity to get to know us better during the in-home visit. One of our staff members will evaluate your loved one's needs, as well as those of your family. We will set goals for care, perform fall prevention and home safety checks, and discuss costs and funding options.
Once the level of care has been agreed to, one of our experienced nurses will visit to perform a complete assessment of your loved one’s physical, mental and social needs. The nurse will use the assessment to develop a personalized care plan that will be followed by the caregiver at every visit.
Matching Caregiver to Care Recipient
We want your home care experience to be successful. A key to that success is a warm and trusting relationship between your loved one and their caregiver. We consider everything we’ve learned about your loved one to assign someone who best matches your loved one’s personality and needs.
Follow-up, Quality Checks and Reevaluations
To ensure that your loved one is receiving the highest quality of care, we touch base with you or your loved one at the end of the first shift, the first week, the second week, the first month and every month thereafter. We also perform in-home supervisory visits of our caregivers and reassessments of your loved one to ensure their needs are being met and to make adjustments to the care plan as needed.
