Sachi came to the hospital for our interview, and I felt comfortable with him right away; he has a warm, caring personality along with a strong work ethic. He explained his personal philosophy and journey into the home care field and reviewed what FirstLight had to offer. From that point on I was able to put aside the worry of finding home care when the time came. About a week later, I was able to return home, so I let Sachi know, and he came over the same day to see my layout and discuss scheduling. He paired me with a wonderful woman, Nimo, who always showed up on time and was totally attentive. I wanted to take a walk every day, and she was right by my side. I wanted to make my own meals, so she stood close by, not only to make sure I didn’t fall over, but also to lend a hand if I needed any help at all with the preparations. And she wouldn’t sit down again until I was safely at the table and ready to eat. I prefer a lot of quiet time, especially during meals (I like to read while eating), and Nimo was fine with giving me the space I needed. She sat quietly, but within sight, for however long I chose to be at the table, alone. On the other hand, whenever I felt like talking, we had good conversations! I felt we were a very good fit! If there were grades to be given, Sachi and Nimo would each get an A+!! If I ever again find myself in need of assistance in my home, I’ll be calling FirstLight Home Care of Plymouth.
