North River Home Care

In-Home Care Overview: North River Home Care

As a family-owned and operated Norwell home care company, North River Home Care understands firsthand how crucial it is for family members to obtain superior home care services for a loved one needing assistance. As former family caregivers, we understand the challenges that today’s families face when trying to balance senior care, family care, and work. Our mission is to ensure a better quality of life for our elderly clients and peace of mind for their families.

At North River Home Care, we truly understand the challenges that families face when searching for quality, dependable home care…because we’ve been there.

Before opening North River, our founders, Heather and Laurel, were caregivers for several family members, involved in searching for and hiring home care agencies for their loved ones.

They have seen both the successes of exceptional in-home care as well as the failures of inexperienced home care providers up close and personal, and these experiences led them to establish their Norwell home care agency.

North River Home Care was born out of a promise to help seniors and their families find a trustworthy home care company that feels like family, and we have been keeping that promise since 2007.

Since taking on our first clients in 2007, North River has grown to over 15 office staff and over 250 home care aides, with nurses and social workers on staff, and offices in Norwell and Sandwich, MA.

Our commitment to quality, compassion, and excellence has landed North River Home Care among the top 5% of agencies in the nation, and we look forward to serving your family.

Our caregivers must score an 85% or higher on the Massachusetts State Home Health Aide Competency exam to interview with North River Home Care. We do frequent checks by field supervisors ensure caregivers are meeting and exceeding our high standards of care, have more management oversight and check-ins than other senior home care agencies and provide back-up caregivers with on call aides who are ready to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our mission is to ensure a better quality of life for our elderly clients and peace of mind for their families in the care setting of their choice.

David M., I am a past client
The entire team at North River did an outstanding job caring for my mother for a number of years. The aides were generally terrific, particularly Christine, Flora, and Michelle. The care for my mother started out pretty easy but grew to be more complicated as she became less mobile and her memory issues worsened. I liked having Julia as my point of contact with the agency. She was very nice and super responsive to requests/schedule changes, etc. She cared about my mom and her oversight gave me peace of mind. My mother wasn't always easy to deal with =, and they were able to handle her with ease. Overall, they did a great job and I'd highly recommend North River.
