It takes a special kind of person to offer care on a regular basis to your family member in need. Most seniors prefer to stay inside their own house and rely on friends and family members to assist them with everyday activities. However, what do you do if you see that your loved one struggling with some of the fundamental tasks of living, like bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, making meals, doing the dishes, remembering to take their drugs? Family members are often too busy with their children, grandchildren and daily tasks to properly attend to elderly family. How will they meet the demand for help of the elderly parents? Our Story

After working in federal law enforcement for close to 9 years, Keith Condon, with the help of his wife Sarah, who is a registered nurse, saw an opportunity to do home care differently. The physical needs of clients were being met but aging was still an isolating experience. In response to this shortfall, Placita In Home Care was started. At Placita, we are active with various senior services in the community that promote low or no cost activities for seniors, such as art classes, social hours, interest clubs and continuing education. Our caregivers have a list of these activities and encourage our clients to participate. All our staff have DMV records checks completed, proof of car insurance and a valid drivers license. Additionally, Placita extends our liability insurance to cover transportation; so you or your loved one has an outlet to get out of the home, be social, make new friends and stay engaged with learning, without having to be concerned about safe transportation. All of the benefits of an assisted living facility and more, while remaining in your own home with a flexible care plan you can afford.

We are unique in that we take pride in the security and the quality of our staff. All our caregivers must pass the required thorough background checks, both state and national. We also require a face to face meeting with us before a caregiver ever enters your home. Our Care Manager, who overseas all the caregivers and makes sure that the maintenance plans are being properly implemented, is a registered nurse.

The Placita home safety evaluation is something we offer to every one of our clients at the beginning and throughout our partnership. Our home safety evaluation will be free to clients at any time. We offer this because the fall statistics in the elderly population are staggering. One in four Americans 65+ will fall this year, every 11 seconds an elderly adult is treated in an emergency room due to a fall and falls are the leading cause of fatal injury in the older population. Beyond the figures, many in our elderly population fear falling. We strive to make the home a safe place where your loved one can age comfortably confidence and peace of mind.
