Beginning of Alzheimers is the best time to start medications for it. Does she have a specialist in dementia yet? If she stays at home without much socializing she will get worse faster. There are adult day cares to give you a break and to help her socialize.

Your local Senior Services and Area Agency on Aging should be able to help with any questions you have regarding whatever kind of help you may need.

Best thing to do is check with your County's "Area Agency on Aging" to see what programs are available.
