If you're here in the U.S. most cities offer the free grief support group called Grief Share. They're typically held in a church, and you can just look them up online to see where the closest one to you is.
Also if your spouse died while under hospice care, hospice does offer 13 months of free grief counseling for you and any family members of the deceased.
I lost my spouse 6 years ago and I'm here to tell you that things do get better, so hang in there.

I don't know where Exeter is. You can often get info about grief support from your local office on aging, local hospitals, funeral directors, churches, or support groups for deaths caused by specific illnesses ( such as cancer, alzheimers, suicide, etc). You are also welcome here for online support. We have a multitude of experiences and suggestions if you need to discuss specific things or just discuss your experiences. Of course, we are only available online instead of an in person support group. I am sorry you have suffered a loss.
