Do you offer therapy sessions for Alzheimer’s patients? Thank you!

No, sorry. We are caregivers sharing our experiences. Not qualified to give therapy.

Alzheimer's Association — often one of the best first calls. They can connect you with:
- therapists familiar with early-stage Alzheimer’s,
- support groups specifically for people living with the diagnosis (not only caregivers),
- counseling resources.

The local office also offers education and support programming.

Silver State Mental Health — larger mental health practice with multiple clinicians and telehealth options, which can make it easier to find someone who is a good personality fit.

Las Vegas Therapy — smaller counseling practice that may provide more individualized matching.

UNLV Health Mojave Counseling Adult Psychiatry & Mental Health — useful if you want counseling integrated with cognitive/medical support resources.

There are also therapists in Las Vegas specifically listing dementia/Alzheimer’s experience, including clinicians with backgrounds in neurodegenerative illness and geriatric counseling.

Early-stage support groups for people with Alzheimer’s can be surprisingly encouraging. Many participants are still highly articulate, insightful, and professionally accomplished. Being around others who understand the experience without talking down to you can help enormously. You also might consider looking specifically for an LCSW, PsyD, or PhD psychologist, with experience in “health psychology,” “geropsychology,” “cognitive disorders,” or “chronic illness adjustment.”

May you receive all the help and support you need and peace in your heart as you move forward.
