I can help her with simple things, but its getting worse. I work full time and have cancer. She doesn't see her decline but her meds are getting messed up. She lives alone. Some rooms of her home don't have power. She does know who is where and who has passed on.

She needs to be where whe can have support and care, but who can do that.

Find Care & Housing
Call APS in your area and report her as a senior in need. Do not enable her living in unsafe condition. You mean very well, and are kind, but you are absolutely correct when you say she needs can. The state takes guardianship of seniors unsafe in this situation.

Start by calling your local Area Agency on Aging and ask them who you should report a vulnerable, frail elder to.

They might tell you to call Adult Protective Services, or they might ring up your neighbor themselves and ask if they can visit.

No one can force her to move elsewhere unless she has been declared incompetent.
