Have hard time making decisions and figuring things out under pressure. Any advice?

This is normal. I went through terrible anxiety as I approached 65. Lasted 2 yrs. Firstly get some medical help from a good GP. Keep looking until you find one who understands. Mood medication will help
Turn off all main stream media. Don’t listen watch or read it. Try and only be with people who align with you. Stay away from conspiracy nutters and political screechers.
I found an app that has meditations and really good sounds that I turn on at night to help with sleep that I set and it helps keep out negative thinking and lulls you back to sleep
however the anxiety and negative thinking just went away when I went back to faith and just prayed every morning for strength and asked for my fears to be taken away and handed over to God. It really works.
realising most things are beyond your control is a great step to take.
also try and join one or two social or craft groups that are only there for the social interaction. No politics or doom sayers
i hope this helps

If you are feeling anxiety or stress, I do hope you have a family member. You can talk with to help you through these moments...along with your doctor.

DO NOT MAKE ANY FINANCIAL, LARGE, or LIFE CHANGING DECISIONS - UNDER PRESSURE.

If you do not recognize a phone number do not answer it if you're feeling stressed. Please let it go to voicemail.. if it is important, they will leave you a message. There's a lot of scams out right now..
I have another friend who is literally scammed out of a lot of money because she was tired and stressed. Please do not do this.

I have a friend who cannot emphasize double check the second and third pages of medication side effects.
Even if the side effects are minimally, conclusive about anxiety it's still in there.
Other side effects reported but rarely:
May cause anxiety
May cause sleepiness, among many other "few effects".

Please read over all side effects even the rare ones you might be one of those rare people who are affected differently by these drugs.

Talk with your doctor tomorrow.

are you drinking enough water? Another friend told me I need to drink more water.

if you can, take a five minute walk, and then increase the time when you feel like it..

please call your doctor when you have a moment.

honestly, I find it hard to make decisions sometimes..

stress is no fun..😕

More context would be helpful: have you first had a very thorough physical with your PCP (including bloodwork)?

What medications were you on and are currently on?

Did you have covid, did you have this "brain fog" afterwards?

Consider that the two symptoms are not necessarily related? Maybe 2 separate issues?

How old are you now and how long has this been going on?

Find a new doctor who will work with you until they get the right medications to help you, and perhaps a good therapist as well to help you work through why you're now having such anxiety/depression.
There is help out there, but you have to do your part in finding it.

Another thought is that your hormones may be hot mess right now or you may be lacking in vital vitamins or minerals that your body needs, so your doctor should order some intensive blood work to rule out any underlying issues.
