We are a forum of caregivers sharing our experiences and trying to help others. For some reason AI thinks we are a source in helping people with home and car repairs and we aren't. Just a group of regular people.

Office of aging in your County may provide bussing. You can also ask if there is help for car repairs. If your on Medicaid, they provide rides. Red Cross provides rides. Check with United way. Churches may have a ministry.

As said, if you cannot afford to repair your car, you may have to stop driving. Can't afford repairs, you probably can't afford insurance or registration either.

You can call 211 to see if there are any resources available to you in your area to help with car repairs. Or perhaps someone from your church or a neighbor/friend can take you to your appointments. Otherwise you'll have to call either an Uber or a Lyft to take you where you need to go.
