Find Care & Housing
The skilled nursing facility should be providing for all their needs.
What additional attention do you feel your elderly parent needs which is not being met? You need to have a meeting with the care team and address your concerns.
If the SNF is unable to meet their needs due to insufficient staffing or because this facility is just not up to par, then you may need to move your parent to another facility.

If they are asking you to provide an aide, you are under no obligation to hire one.

Nothing, really, especially if your parent is in the SNF on Medicaid. Family and friends can take turns sitting with your parent, or ask your church if there are any volunteers. Depending on the reason a sitter is required, meds can often calm an elder down to the point a sitter is not needed. You don't give details, however, you barely wrote a title. So you may want to elaborate.
