The facility does not allow bed rails . They do check on her every couple of hours but she gets up between checks.

The hospital beds can be lowered pretty far down. Since this is happening alot, ask that mats be put down. If they don't have them, buy them. Making sure her name is permanently on them. My Mom had a concave mattress. Made it harder to get out.

Most decent facilities have bed alarms. Maybe you could enquire about that. Not sure why they don’t allow bed rails. My mom had them in rehab and she doesn’t even have dementia. It was just to keep her from falling out of bed. I wish you the best. None of this is easy.

Other then tying her down, not much.
