Forgive me if I am wrong, but I am wondering if you caregivers are having trouble turning your relatives in bed? When I was nursing we made light work of this by rolling the person on their side, rolling the sheet up tightly towards their back, rolling them over the bump then pulling the dirty sheet out the other side. Of, course, doing the reverse with the clean sheet. Hope this is of help to some people.

There are training videos on YouTube demonstrating many nursing techniques. It all sounds so easy in theory but those in nursing are generally younger women working with a nice firm mattress and hospital bed, it gets a little more complicated when you have to deal with a saggy old full size or larger bed which takes up half the room or is accessible on only one side. Toss in the linens that have been washed until they are threadbare and can't take the strain of being used as draw sheets and the fact that many caregivers are no longer spring chickens and may have health problems of their own. Slide sheets are a great option when caring for someone in the home, if you haven't heard of them you should check them out.
