Just something I though I'd share. Today I came across a newspaper article detailing how one woman overcame her swallowing difficulties through therapy and I'm amazed, I had no idea this was even possible.

Thanks for this, cwillie. I have seen it treated by OT and by speech therapists as well, but by no means easy and best with cooperative and otherwise able patients who are willing to put in the work.

Yes, it's obviously not an option for the majority of forum members who are struggling with dysphagia from advanced dementia.
But it's interesting that recovery is possible for many people, when I think of rehab for TBI or stroke or other brain issues recovering from swallowing difficulty was not something on my radar.
