Call APS and have an assessment done for your mother and stepfather. If anyone has POA for them, you can place your mother into memory care and stepfather to assisted living.

Yes, you can call Adult Protective Services. I hope you get a good outcome, that they recognize the issues.

I assume you don't have POA for your mother, or for both of them? Do you know if anyone does?

Also, if your mother ends up in the hospital, for a fall or anything else, you can talk to the discharge planner / social worker about it being unsafe for her to go home.

Call Adult Protective Services in their county and report the situation. Know ahead that the caseworker will not necessarily report back to you

Social Services can't but APS(Adult Protective Services)can if you explain to them exactly what is going on in your mothers and stepfathers homes when you call them.
