Has anyone's LO with Dementia/Alzheimer's experienced the 'Doorway effect'? For instance your LO is watching TV in the den. They go to the bathroom in another room&then forgot where they previouslywere?

Heck, I don't need dementia to have that. It happens to everyone, because the thought occurs in one setting, but going into another room becomes a new setting.

"Doorway effect" can happen to anyone, any age, any mental capacity.
But for someone with dementia this is one of the reasons that they need to be supervised 24/7/365

I think that the OP means that after the LO goes into the other room, they forget which room they had just left.

My mother does that. She has dementia.
