I have several questions.
1. Friday my husband couldn't remember if we were married, nor for how long. This is the second time it's happened. But he knows the territory and doesn't lose his way while driving. He has terrible headaches. Namenda has a side
effect of headaches. I would like to know if any of you give your Alzheimer's loved ones Namenda, and if so, do they suffer from headaches.
2. Do any of you know of a veteran suffering from Alzheimers who sprayed Agent Orange in Vietman? My husband sprayed A.O. from a helicopter.
3. My granddaughter, almost 14, was admitted to a psychiatric hospital yesterday. She has been cutting herself. She is Attention Deficient. Her birth mother was on drugs the first three months of pregnancy..she never saw a doctor during pregnancy..My son and daughter-in-law adopted her as a newborn.
3. Do any of you feel like you might also have Alzheimer's? My doctor says I do not. But the stress of my husband plus the fact I have Power-of-Attorney for my 98 year old aunt in the nursing home; plus Power-of-Attorney for an almost blind woman is getting me down.

Jeanette are you helping MaryMember? Im a little confused.

But, yes, my mom is on Namenda, has been for probably six years now. It has never caused headaches with her. Now I wonder if it doing her any good at all. But I have heard that when they are taken off of it that some see a drastic sudden decline. Not ready for palliative care yet. My mom also has trouble recognizing me, her husband, but in thus case it is understandable for someone with Alzheimer's. She rarely remembers they are married, which only happened 7.5 years ago, he was a high school beau and sometimes I think she is looking for the 16 year old that she fell in love with.

Do Google search for agent orange and Alzheimer's. Sounds as if they are looking at it.

There are some days that the stress makes me feel like I am losing it. I'm sure this happens with the majority of us.

Mom's been on Namenda 10 mg for awhile and now Namenda XR. No headaches.

Namenda 10 is being taken off the market in August, I think, to be replaced with Namenda XR. Now, Namenda 10 costs $135.00 for three month supply. We tried XR last year for a month or two it was $60.00 for one month. With my mom's insurance if three months prescribed and dispensed, she in effect gets one month free. So, when we start on the XR again, it should be $120.00 for three months. We will see.

Jeanette, maybe you have been hacked or someone else in the household. Have you noticed it anywhere else? Could it be a family member? Do you sign out each time you finish cruising?
