I would see if you can make an appointment at Social Services to speak to a caseworker. Moms caseworker did the application for me. Then gave me a list of things I needed to provide within the 90 day period allowed. You will need to know the basics. If they have a home, the market value, same with a car. SSN#. Any life insurance policies, bank accts, IRAs, CDs, bonds, stocks. The more you have at the time of the appt, the better.

The person must have no assets. If they have IRAs, bonds, stocks etc, they have to be liquidated and used to pay for their care.
