Stray cats odor is terrible. Will not cooperate
can hardly walk shuffles with cane. She said her feet got tangled was found on her butt, I tried to get up couldn’t called EMS to put her in wheelchair. Lives alone daughter had back problems and recovering from Heart Attack.
what can be done?

This is a problem with no good answer. APS can be notified to keep an eye on her. If she isn’t willing to move, she doesn’t have to until the gov intervenes.
It’s a horrible situation for all concerned. I’m sorry.

Call APS and let them sort it. You, yourself, should not get mixed up in this.
There is nothing you can do with a senior who is competent in making their own decisions.

I will second placing a call to Adult Protective Services(APS)and making them aware of the unhealthy living conditions this women lives in and let them come out and do an assessment on the situation.
They can then handle things from their end if they see fit to.

I agree with others who posted that APS should be notified of this situation.

Please don’t try to help her up and risk hurting your back. Calling for emergency personnel is the best thing to do.

Call Council on Aging for a needs assessment if you wish. They will help guide you through the caregiving process.
