There was supposed to be info on this site for those in over 55 communities. Doesn't seem so. I do not need asstd and we found Independant livg in our area were the same price as asstd living. I finally moved into an better than 55 community and it gives me the socialization and physical exercise options I do need. I have a back and leg injury and I must have a helper for some house work, grocery shopping doctors apptmts. Can I keep caring family friend I have and receive any assistance from a program? I have chronic depression disease and she cares for me with that also.

I have a housekeeper for two hours a week. I pay her $20 per hour or $40 a week, from my own funds. It's well worth it.

Anonymous388564. wow you are one of few that understand that fact. Just like heart disease or cancer. Check out Carol Rickard.. She was actually a childhood friend of my friend in Oakhurst Ca. She now lives in NJ ..she has great newsletters and support webinars. She understands it from both perspectives and is a very vocal advocate for those with this disease. This gets confusing..you were commenting on my situation, not answering my question, correct. Or were you answering saying that I can get some aid because of my disease?
