Yes, And let me explain why. With dementia our loved ones often misplace items. They are reluctant to realize that the issue is that they can't remember what they they did with certain items so they start blaming other people. When dementia progresses, they realize that something is wrong but usually feel that other people are causing it. People are stealing from them or hiding things on them even will feel that someone is over medicating them because they don't feel right. It is very sad but very very common.

Yes, it’s common, and no, a person with dementia that advanced shouldn’t be in any position to throw anyone out. They need care, not power to do such

This is an issue of paranoia, and few dementia patients escape it. It's also almost a dead giveaway: your loved one, you think, is "perfectly normal." They just "have a little paranoia" or "a little dementia." Actually they have real dementia, and paranoia is one of the first signs.

This will get worse, so start making plans now for this person's future care. I'm very sorry.
