My mom does the same thing. I tell her to set her clock and get up once during the night and she just sleeps through it. When she gets out of bed, she leaves a puddle. I have tried telling her less liquids after 7PM and it still isn't helping. She is also on Vesicare. She goes to the urologist on Monday, he thinks her meds could also be part of the problem. Maybe you could have your mom's meds reviewed by the doctor.

One reason most nursing homes hesitate to put incontinence protection on people is because they do become dependent on the pads. You could try getting her up more often if you can physically do it. If she uses the toilet more often, she may not have so much stored urine at night. Also, cutting back on fluids close to bedtime may help.
Good luck,
Carol
