ALZ is a type of dementia. Many cognitive issues come under dementia:

Has she actually been diagnosed with it or is this your opinion based on her behaviors and decline in abilities? Teepa Snow has some very good videos on YouTube that gives practical advice on how to better engage with our LOs who suffer from dementia so that there can be more peace in the caregiving. I've learned a lot, as there is much to know.

I'm not sure what you mean by "progression back" 🤔.
If you are looking for stereotypical behaviour and progression then you need to know that popular culture often gets dementia wrong, although there are some commonalities every person's journey with dementia is different and every case of dementia is influenced by the type of dementia they have and their other comorbidities.
