She is 80 years old. Lightheaded was the reason for taking. Using a digital blood pressure checker but she very thin arms which may be giving a false reading.

Unless she is on Hospice, those numbers warrant a call to the paramedics.

Agree with Pam, thin arms don't really enter into this. Call 911.

What I mean is, while yes, if you have thin arms, you may need a pediatric cuff, bp that low in an elderly person who is feeling light-headed warrants a call to 911 so that emts can evaluate.

Please keep us posted! And yes, if she is on hospice, call them with the numbers. Otherwise it is a 911 call!

Call 911 and while you wait for the EMT's have your mother lie down immediately so the heart can pump the blood to all parts of the body.
