My aunt burnt her trailer down. According to police she thought she was seeing demons. From what people are telling me no one actually knows where she is at, except for her daughter in law. The aunt lived in middle Alabama. Me, lower Alabama. DIL supposedly put her in an old folks home in Georgia. When google searching the only name connected to hers is the DIL. The son doesn’t even know where she is. How do I find out there she is? My mom is extremely worried. (This is my dad’s sister. Dad passed in 2020. The DIL will not answer me on fb. The DIL has address history of Florida and AL. Why put her in Georgia and cut her off from everyone? The aunt was very scared of being taken away by DIL. This DIL posts daily on FB. Never mentioned her MIL in the past year. Takes up fundraiser for cancer she claims.

Why doesn't your aunt's son (your cousin) know or care where she is? He doesn't know where his wife moved his mother?

This is something that a Forum of strangers from around the world can't help you with.
I am afraid you are stuck now with your local Sheriff, Police, or other authorities.

I want to wish you the very best of luck.

Is DIL and son still married? How does the son have no idea where his mother is? How much contact did you have with this family before the incident happened? She has most likely blocked or has unfollowed and isn't receiving messages. Honestly, I would not respond to anyone either if I haven't had contact with them for years and they started to message me on FB.

You can always start to follow Alabama and Georgia local town pages and "neighbors helping neighbors" groups and post your circumstance and picture to see if anything pops up. It is an out of the box approach but so is posting on this forum for the same reason. Best of luck.

Call Social Security and ask if they show her address as a Nursing home. They may not give you the address but you will know she is safe. Maybe they will tell you the State. DIL must have POA or guardianship.

This may not get you any new information, but it might be worth a try. Search for your Aunt's name on www.fastpeoplesearch.com with Alabama. If that doesn't give any clues, then search for Georgia and Florida and see if anything comes up. You can also search for her DIL and see if anything else comes up. It will often give names of people associated with whoever you're searching for.
