You have to sign papers to appoint someone POA. You can change that someone at any time. The POA is to act on your behalf. You still have all the rights of any competent adult.

Is there a specific issue that you are in conflict about?

More information please,, normally YOU grant the POA to someone. Do you mean guardianship?

If it is a POA and you are competent, you can change it at any time. Your phrase "against me" is confusing. Only you can grant a POA.

Ed, you still have all your rights. A POA is someone who carries out your wishes.

The POA has to be signed and notarized by the applicant, who must sign the doc and present photo ID.
